Abatec is looking for an Assistant Buyer to join an established Civil Engineering contractor who are based near Cardiff, South Wales.
Joining a small procurement team, this role will offer a challenge in an ever-evolving Civil Engineering market, which will expose you to purchasing core materials for construction delivery, placing £MM worth of yearly orders.
This role would suit someone who has some experience with construction materials, either from previous buying experience within the industry or those that have worked for building merchants.
As an Assistant Buyer you will:
Obtain best value material quotations from a range of suppliers at the best rate
Raising and placing accurate purchase orders
Communicate with Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers and Estimating teams with updated rates for purchased materials
Administer and arrange delivery
Our client requires an Assistant Buyer with:
£25,000 - £30,000 per annum
Pension, healthcare, 36 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)
