An opportunity for a Programme Manager / Scheduling Manager to join a national construction contractor.  Our client delivers high volume, low value planned maintenance works for local authorities on highways across the West Country.
 
With an annual framework budget of £20-25 million, you will be responsible for managing the overall programme of works.  Forecasting annual spend, ensuring that the end client is issuing works in line with the forecast and that site teams are delivering works in accordance to timescales.  You will have experience of manipulating data and strong communication skills. Our client offers hybrid working with employees being able to work remote 2 days a week.
 
As Programme Manager / Scheduling Manager you will:
  • Be responsible for managing a programme of works with values ranging from £500 to over £500k.
  • Liaise with internal managers, discussing workloads and scheduling works accordingly, ensuring projects are fully resourced for people, plant, materials etc.
  • Be responsible for strategic planning, forecasting and reporting to senior management.
  • Have excellent client facing skills as you will be in contact with the end client, building and maintaining relations to maximise business.
 
Our client requires a Scheduling Manager with:
  • Experience of working in a similar position for a construction/civils contractor (ideally)
  • Knowledge of MS Project.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills.
 
Salary/Benefits:
  • Up to £50,000 per annum
