An opportunity for a Scheduling Manager to join a national construction contractor.  Our client delivers planned maintenance contracts on highways across the West Country.  With an annual budget of £20-25 million, you will be responsible for scheduling high volume, low value planned maintenance works, utilising direct employees and subcontractors. This is a great opportunity to join a company that cares about the health and wellbeing of its employees, environmental issues and social responsibility.
 
As Scheduling Manager you will:
  • Be responsible for planning works with values from £100’s to over £500k.
  • Liaise with internal managers, discussing workloads and scheduling works accordingly, ensuring projects are fully resourced for people, plant, materials etc.
  • Be responsible for strategic planning, forecasting and reporting to senior management.
  • Have excellent client facing skills as you will be in contact with the end client, building and maintaining relations to maximise business.
 
Our client requires a Scheduling Manager with:
  • Experience of working in a similar position for a construction/civils contractor.
  • Knowledge of MS Project.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills.
 
Salary/Benefits:
  • Up to £40,000 per annum
  • Company vehicle/car allowance
  • 25 days paid annual holiday plus bank holidays
  • 5% Employer contributory pension scheme
