Abatec is working with a national multi-discipline contractor to recruit a Site Agent to join their Rail division. The company are a successful well know business and after successfully working as part of the CP6 framework they are now looking to expand the team. The first project will be working in Bath on signalling, stations and buildings up to the value of £6M.
 
If you have experience in the civil engineering sector ideally with Rail and have, worked in a main contractor environment and are looking for a new role please get in contact.
 
As a Site Agent you will:
  • Identify and develop detailed subcontractor packages, work scopes and programme, in conjunction with the commercial team
  • Resolve technical issues for design and construction team members and provide advice where necessary
  • Agree on defined scope of works and objectives with clients
  • Manage and report on the costs associated with the design and construction of schemes
  • Work in conjunction with the commercial team, review and agree monthly subcontract accounts including variations
  • Issue the appropriate correspondence to support commercial positions
  • Plan, develop and implement strategy for operational delivery
  • Oversee the successful delivery of projects to scope, target cost, quality, programme and completion encompassing design, engineering, construction, handover and commercial aspects ensuring perfect delivery is achieved
  • Ensure that project costs are rigorously managed, and expenditure is always recorded accurately
  • Implement individual project execution plan(s) for projects, managing and reviewing performance of contracts against financial and operational targets
Our client requires a Site Agent with:
  • A degree qualification (desirable)
  • 5 Day - Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Certificate
  • Proven people and project management skills
  • Team leader with organisational skills
  • Commercial and contractual awareness
  • The ability to liaise in a professional manner with client, client representatives, general public and other interested parties
  • Strong technical knowledge
